Leonard Davis began his life in ministry as a volunteer leader with Young Life in Kansas City in 2003. Young Life is a Christian organization that reaches out to adolescents. In 2006 Leonard began his teaching career as a math teacher at Center High School, where he taught for six years. Ministry became a bigger part of his life when he was ordained as a deacon at Friendship Baptist Church in 2007. Leonard’s job as a teacher and his work with Young Life intersected when he took on the role of Teacher Staff with Young Life in 2010. Sensing a call to a deeper life of ministry, Leonard resigned from teaching to pursue a full-time career with Young Life in 2011. Also in 2011, Leonard married his wife, Andrea. They don’t have any kids, but they love their goldendoodle, Harley.
